Merry Christmas!

You’d think it would have been wiser to make a Christmas blog yesterday, but aside from the fact that I was busy enjoying the day, Christmas is not over. There is still plenty of time to enjoy the season and the cheer that comes along with it.

I can’t put into words how wonderful Christmas is. Everything associated with Christmas is awesome. That is that.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were great. My family has a tradition of opening presents on Christmas Eve night. My mom is Hungarian and my dad is Danish, so in their respective countries, it’s tradition to open on Christmas Eve. I quite like the tradition…I find the nightime to have a more appealing and relaxing atmosphere. Anyway, for the presents aspect of Christmas I got some clothes, Tony Hawk American Wasteland (I realize there’s a new Tony Hawk game out, but I like the customizability of AW), and some money/giftcard. My brother also bought the family a foooooooooseball table. I challenge anyone of you to a game of fooseball…except Scotty. I mean, I’m sure I could beat him and all, but the creepy factor would probably be too much.

Christmas Day was enjoyable. I don’t have any relatives that are in Canada, and even the ones outside of Canada I don’t know well. So it was just my mom, dad, brother and myself enjoying the Christmas Day. We relaxed the whole day: indulging in great food and making some fantastic Scandanavian cookies. I still have to make a gingerbread house though, even though I probably should’ve done it a couple of days ago….

Today (Boxing Day), I didn’t really go out to take advantage of the deals. Most places closed at 5pm, but Best Buy was open until 8pm (they are definitely overworking their employees), so I stopped in there and got a decent deal on a couple of CDs.

All in all I’ve been having a great time the last few days. May the next few continue the trend. *raises glass* Merry Christmas people!
